The Children’s Museum of Bozeman is an organization dedicated exclusively to providing hands-on, sensory exhibits and programs that foster imagination, curiosity and promote self-confidence. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and contains an array of artifacts from the Missouri River Headwaters area. The Headwaters Heritage Museum and Gift Shoppe is located in a 1910 bank building, originally the Three Valleys State Bank, in the center of downtown Three Forks at the southwest corner of Main and Cedar. Indoor exhibitions are complemented by a operational, on-site 19th century farm that helps preserve the state’s agricultural traditions, as well as the immersive environment of the Taylor Planetarium. The Museum’s permanent exhibitions tell the story of development in the Northern Rockies over the past 4 billion years.
